Saint Léger de Vignague (L’eau des Vignes) is a small village situated in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region.

Saint Léger was successively English and French ruled before definitely becoming French in 1451, two years before the end of the Hundred Years’ War.

The Roman church of St Léger dates back to the 12th century. Its vaulted chancel featuring Byzantine domes is the only one of its kind in the Gironde. It has been listed as a historical monument since 1925.

Viticulture dates back to the ancient era and for the last three generations we have been committed to vinifying and ageing some of the best wines in Bordeaux.

As of the 2015 vintage (Edition N° 1), every year a rigorous selection of our very best wines is aged for a year in French oak barrels sourced from the most reputed coopers.

This wine is destined for cellar ageing and is sold under the name Saint Léger as a tribute to this traditional, history-steeped winemaking village.
